ARC radiator

2 tasks that must be done this weekend are left undone, sad. 1st is to install the rear CRUISE skirt, 2nd is to install ARC radiator with pull fan but both shops are closed for Agong's birthday. So, I decided to do it this early morning...
Woke up early and started my project. As usual, lotsa neighbors will walk by and ask. Some look at me like i'm a paranoid. Haha, can't blame them, only few will repair their car on their own these days.
Started by dismantling the KOYORAD racing radiator by draining all water in the radiator. After draining, found that the draining plug is damaged, replaced with another immediately.
Took out the silicone hoses, intake pipe and... took out the radiator.
The ARC radiator was previously used by CD9A, so it's a direct swap into my car. I've cleaned the radiator before the swap, water sprayed thru all the fins.
After dropping in the radiator, I've filled the entire radiator with RO water, not sure how good is it. It's about 5 liters, cost Rm0.20 per liter.
Started the engine, leak tested. Here we go!!!
KOYORAD radiator
KOYORAD radiator removed
Water blocking nut damaged, replaced with another one
ARC radiator, nice fins
Hunchback ARC radiator
Perfect!
Previously used on CD9A Lanebo 1
Rubber gasket
Hunchback
Completo! Filled with RO water.

  1. Hi,

By any chance to you know the size of the "water blocking" nut?
    Mine broke as well.
